The Nutrition Gap Most People Miss

GLP-1 medications like Ozempic and Wegovy lower appetite, and for many people that's a real help with weight. But the medication doesn't decide what you eat.

When your appetite drops, you eat much less. That's the point. The risk is that the smaller amount of food doesn't give you enough protein, fiber and nutrients. You can lose weight and still end up tired and losing muscle along with fat. That's the nutrition gap.

The other common mistake is trying to support your own GLP-1 with no structure at all. You hear that fiber helps and start eating salads. You know protein matters but not how much you need. Without a plan, it's easy to stall.

On a medication or not, the answer is the same: eat with intention, not just less.

What a GLP-1 Meal System Needs

A GLP-1 meal system has three jobs: support your body's own fullness signal, protect your muscle, and give you enough structure that you're not deciding what to eat all day.

Most meal delivery services were built for general weight loss. They count calories and stop there. A plan built for GLP-1 support looks different:

  • It's built on what prompts GLP-1 release: protein, fermentable fiber and smart fats.
  • It sets a protein target. Ours is about 90 g a day, enough to help protect muscle while you eat less.
  • It sets a fiber target, about 30 g of fermentable fiber a day in our case, introduced gradually so your digestion can adjust.
  • It's planned ahead, so you open the week's food and follow it.

The plan that works is usually the one you can stay with. Structure makes that easier than willpower does.

How Our Food Supports Your Own GLP-1

We built The GLP-1 Protocol to support your body's own GLP-1 response through protein, fermentable fiber and smart fats.

When food reaches your small intestine, cells in the gut wall release GLP-1. Protein and fat prompt that release directly. Fermentable fiber works more slowly: bacteria in your gut ferment it into short-chain fatty acids, which also prompt GLP-1 release.

Fiber does more than one job. It feeds your gut bacteria, slows digestion so you feel full longer, and helps keep blood sugar steady, which means fewer of the crashes that lead to overeating.

Protein keeps you full and helps you keep muscle while you eat less. We're not trying to copy a medication. We're supporting what your body already does.

Everything we make is dairy-free and comes from our own certified, dedicated gluten-free kitchen in Georgetown, Texas, with no artificial ingredients, colors or preservatives.

The Four-Week Protocol

We structure the plan in four-week cycles. That's long enough to settle into a routine and short enough to commit to.

Each week, a bundle arrives with 7 Blueberry Muffins, 7 Chocolate Chip Cookies, 7 Meal Replacement Bars and 7 servings of Vanilla Protein Shake. That covers breakfast, a snack and lunch every day. You make dinner: lean protein and non-starchy vegetables, aiming for 30 to 40 g of protein.

The first week brings the biggest adjustment, mostly to the extra fiber. Mild gas or bloating early on is normal and fades.

From week two on, the routine gets easier. Our rules stay the same: don't skip breakfast, use the cookie as a craving-killer, and hit your protein number even if you skip a meal.

After four weeks, you can keep going or reassess. Subscriptions can be paused, skipped, swapped or cancelled.

Weight Loss Support Without a Prescription

Here's what we do and don't claim. The GLP-1 Protocol supports your body's own appetite regulation. It isn't a substitute for a prescription anyone needs, and decisions about medication belong with your doctor. It works for people who want to support appetite through food, and alongside the medication for people who already take it.

Your body makes GLP-1 every day as part of normal digestion. Eating enough protein, fermentable fiber and smart fats gives that process more to work with. When you feel less hungry, eating less stops being a fight.

That's where the weight loss comes from: eating less because you're satisfied, not because you're forcing yourself through hunger. Our plan sits at 1,300 to 1,500 calories a day.

Daily Nutrition That Protects Your Muscle and Health

A hidden cost of weight loss is muscle loss. Eat too little protein while you cut calories, and some of what you lose can be muscle.

That matters beyond looks. Muscle helps keep your metabolism up. Lose it, and keeping the weight off gets harder.

That's why our daily target is about 90 g of protein. It helps protect lean mass while you eat less.

The rest of the nutrition matters too. A day of low-calorie processed food can hit a protein number and still miss fiber. We build both into the plan.

Fiber also supports a healthy gut microbiome. We don't separate weight loss nutrition from overall nutrition.

Whatever approach you consider, ask whether it protects muscle. If a plan doesn't put protein first, it may trade long-term health for a quick number on the scale.

How Our System Works for Ozempic and Wegovy Users

If you take a GLP-1 medication, your appetite is lower and you eat much less. You need what you do eat to carry as much nutrition as possible.

That's where it's easy to slip. A few bites of pasta might satisfy a medication-reduced appetite, but they give you very little protein.

Our protocol makes that easier. The muffin, cookie, bar and shake are small, ready to eat, and built around protein and fiber, so you can get close to your target without large meals. The bundle alone gives you about 70 g of protein and about 30 g of fiber a day, and dinner tops up the protein.

The food works alongside your medication. Decisions about the medication itself stay with your doctor.

The Breakfast, Snack, and Lunch Strategy We Use

A lot of people approach GLP-1 support at random: eggs one morning, a salad for lunch, a handful of almonds. You might land near decent numbers, but it's hard to do every day.

Our approach is the same every day.

Breakfast is our GLP-1 Blueberry Muffin, with 18 g of protein. Our first rule is don't skip breakfast.

The snack is the GLP-1 Chocolate Chip Cookie, under 20 g of carbs. Use it to stop a craving, not as dessert.

Lunch is the GLP-1 Meal Replacement Bar. A serving of the GLP-1 Vanilla Protein Shake (17 g of protein, 3 g of fiber, under 20 g of carbs) fits wherever it helps most.

Dinner is yours: lean protein and non-starchy vegetables. One habit helps at any meal: eat the protein and vegetables first, then any starch. It can slow how fast sugar reaches your blood and gives your fullness signal time to catch up.

Tracking Your Progress Weekly

A scale tells you one thing: total weight. It can't separate muscle, fat and water. When you're eating less, that difference matters.

That's why our One Month Health Reset includes a Hume Body Pod body-composition scale and weekly body-composition check-ins, alongside four weekly bundles. Watching the trend shows you whether you're losing fat while keeping muscle.

How your clothes fit and how your energy feels are real signs too, just less precise. Use them alongside the numbers.

If the trend shows you losing muscle, look at protein first. Hitting about 90 g a day is the simplest fix.

Why Food-Based GLP-1 Support Beats Generic Diets

The difference is specificity. A generic diet says eat less and move more. A food-based GLP-1 plan tells you what to eat so your appetite works with you.

Generic diets often leave you hungry, because the food doesn't do much for fullness. People quit when every day is a fight.

Food built around protein, fermentable fiber and smart fats works with your body's own GLP-1 response, so eating less is easier to sustain.

If you take a GLP-1 medication, the food works alongside it. Either way, the habits you build around protein, fiber and regular meals are yours to keep.

Getting Started With Your First Week

Starting is simple. Order a weekly bundle and it arrives with your muffins, cookies, bars and shake for the week.

In week one, follow the routine: breakfast every day, the cookie for cravings, the bar at lunch, a dinner built on lean protein and non-starchy vegetables, and 80 or more ounces of water. Build up to the fiber gradually. Sleep and light activity add to what the food is doing.

Give it a full four-week cycle before you decide. Then keep going, adjust, or stop. Subscriptions can be paused, skipped, swapped or cancelled, so you're not locked in.

When your food works with your appetite, your body does more of the work. That's what we built The GLP-1 Protocol to do.
